Connecting a Geneve to a VGA display

There is an inexpensive RGB to VGA upscaler available on amazon and ebay called the GBS-8200. However, this upscaler cannot cope with the composite-sync signal produced by the Geneve 9640 Family Computer. To remedy the situation, you could buy an expensive sync cleaner targetted to SCART input, or you could build your own.

Using an LM1881 sync cleaner chip, two 0.1uf capacitors, and a 680 ohm resister.

The schematic is here on Atariage Gbs 8220 to SGCPU or Geneve post #36
